Makeup of the post - Cold War Navy

         The deficiencies in mine countermeasure capability demonstrated in the Persian Gulf conflict raise broader questions about the future configuration of the U.S. Navy. For the future, the Navy must be prepared to meet the more likely threats of a new era.
